This wine is part of the project to recover Trentino old native varieties of vine and make them into wine. Blanc de Sers is obtained from the Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Nosiola varieties.
Serso, near the town of Pergine, on the right bank of the Fersina torrent close to Valle dei Mocheni, is by far the best area in the Valsugana for growing white grapes . The area lies between 500 and 650 metres a.s.l. and is sheltered from the northern winds, so the Blanc de Sers area is on a slope, is well ventilated and is exposed to sunlight all day long.
Colour: straw yellow tending to golden.
Bouquet and palate: fresh, flowery, a hint of ripe citrus fruit with a light final smell of sage.
Excellent when served as an aperitif, this wine is also excellent with light hors d’oeuvres, freshwater and salt water fish dishes, soups and mushrooms.
